Firstly, thank you very much to the people that have submitted enquiries. We are now in a position to review the canditates following the final Open Day (Sunday 23 May, from 1400, all arrangements as before). Please note that you will be hearing from us directly if we are able to invite you to that.
We think in view of the number and quality of the expressions of interest, that it should be possible to conclude a Lease of High Leas Farm this year. If however for any reason that does not happen then, of course, it is likely that the procedure would be restarted. But for the time being we would ask that no further applications are made
We now ask that tender submissions should reach us by 15 June (instead of 15 May).
Also, whilst we aim to read any tender submissions as soon as they come in, please note that due to commitments which we cannot avoid, you are unlikely to get a detailed response earlier than the first week of July.

There will be an additional “Open Day” on Saturday 22 May 2010 (afternoon only).
Everything about this will be the same as for the other Open Days (see Information Pack) except that it will not start until 1400 (2pm) and will continue as late as necessary.
As before, you should not simply turn up. You should contact us first as these visits are “Invitation Only.”

Please don’t ring me during Monty Don’s new programme “My Dream Farm,” which starts on Thursday!
Monty Don says interesting things, including (The Observer, 2 Oct. 2005) highlighting the potential use of bracken for compost. Bracken is not something we are short of!
High Leas is up for letting, so is it your Dream Farm? The people we need can be dreamers, by all means, but that can’t be all!
We have decided to advertise the farm to let. This is a rare opportunity to lease an entire farm in a superb location with outstanding views over the derwent valley. If you are looking for a farm to rent then please have a look at our info pack.
The info pack contains details of our open days. If you would like to contact us to register your interest and arrange to attend one of the open days, please do so – these are not open to the general public but only by invitation, to those who have registered prior interest.
